I absolutely love this image I found that sums up the Guardian’s Open Journalism.
Gathering news stories is so much broader now that social media is involved. Twitter helps the every day person become a journalist by reporting news in real-time, and the Guardian’s Facebook app shows what is of the publics interest, what trends, what’s read daily, what people are interested in.
It’s my favourite newspaper because they get the fact that times are changing.
Having recently entered the world of local journalism, I’m finding myself reading more and more newspaper content than just reading things online or magazines. The Guardian is such an inspiration in the way I now go about searching for stories and features :)
