Why?: I am very passionate about the charity and what perfect timing with the Paralympics in London this year! Who better to inspire you to follow your dreams and believe that no mountain is too big to climb than the Paralympic Athletes and the Disability Sport Wales team?
What inspires you? My soul comes alive when it comes to Fashion and Crafts. I started shopping all over the world for materials, jewellery pieces and crafts e.g. Tibetan crosses from Singapore, studs from Thailand, leather jackets from local Charity shops, clothing from China, jewellery from Philadelphia and crafts from Hobbiecraft to small local private jeweler businesses.
As I started creating my own jewellery and customizing clothing I decided that I wanted to share my imagination with the world and create a blog. I got my name from a song that was playing in the background by Digitalism called The Pulse. My blog had over a thousand views in the first two weeks covering from New Zealand to South Korea to Ireland; it’s filled with jewellery I’ve created, crafts I’ve created such as collars and bandannas, clothing I’ve customized, images from photoshoots and snapshots of how I’ve styled myself for the day. As much as I enjoy being in front of the camera I come alive behind the scenes styling!
I also thrive on attending fashion events and supporting Charity Events, I plan to attend as many as possible in the near future. Last week I attended Volkswagen’s Fashion show for the new Beetle launch and tonight I will be attending a local cinema to watch a documentary on Bill Cunningham, New York Street Fashion.
Plans for the future? To attend fashion courses such as textiles, art & design and jewellery making/wielding. I plan to keep the blog active and perhaps create a website to sell my jewellery on very soon! I’m doing this all off my own back, who knows where it will take me but I’m enjoying my journey and hope that others do and follow me too!
